Bude - North Cornwall

Bude - Cornwall

A few shots taken in Bude - North Cornwall, while on holiday a couple of weeks ago.

Bude Coastline near the Breakwater - Mono Conversion

Bude Breakwater - 17mm Lens -15sec exposure

Taken the previous, when the light was not so good but allowed a long 30 sec exposure

The following three shots were taken overlooking the Bude Outdoor Swimming Pool. The first evening we visited, there where nine other photographers there, much to my amazement.  Apparently, Joe Cornish was there leading a workshop, and his `group` were all set up with their tripods. With it being a high tide , the water was breaking over the rocks and the pool edge. With the low cloud cover, the `sunset` was not as I would have liked, but it did help with the long exposures of 30secs.

More or less a straight shot.

This one was processed using one of the filters in Topaz Adjust

This was the mono conversion. Only a 10sec exposure on this one.

The following morning I went down early for high tide and concentrated on the edge of the outdoor pool using the N D filter. This one may work well printed on an Art Paper.

Another from the early morning visit

This was at the Bude Breakwater on our last evening. The 17mm lens exaggerates the foreground

The sky really was that colour although it looked almost unreal. Taken literally a few minutes after the previous mono shot
