2014 ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup

2014 ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup

Last Friday, David Robinson and myself attended the Canon Slalom World Cup event at the Lea Valley White Water Centre. This was the first days trials and we were fortunate enough to have media/press passes so we were able to photograph from very close to the waters edge.

Tight in on the Action

All shots were taken with an Canon 1D Mark II and a 70-200mm F2.8 lens.

One of the best places to photograph was at the second big `drop`, were they had to turn to go through the `gate`, which was right in front of us.

The 70-200mm was ideal for this type of sports photography. The camera on Aperture Priority , focusing set on Servo, and the motor drive set on high.
