Black Country Museum

Black Country Museum

A week or so ago I had to give a talk to Smethwick Photographic Society. Rather than traveling home that night, I decided to stay in the area, and the next morning I visited the Black Country Museum.  I only stayed for a couple of hours, because the schools were on holiday, and it became busy very quickly. I did manage to get these eight shots though. All taken with the 17mm end of the Canon 17-40mm lens. Having been to the museum a couple of times before, I had a good idea of the type of shots I wanted to do. The people who `work` there are very friendly and are quite willing to pose for photographers, and because they are dressed up in period clothing, and are in very photogenic settings, you can get some really strong portraits.
